Within the overall structure of the AKT Group, tool manufacturing is an essential element. Both our Gardelegen location and our subsidiary, WEDO Formenbau und Kunststoffverarbeitung GmbH in Doberschau, have in-house injection mould tools manufacturing capacity.

At the two locations, more than 200 employees are employed in tool manufacturing. They are responsible for production of new qualitative tools, for the alteration of tools, devices and inspection equipment; care and servicing of moulds as well as operational repairs of tools and devices.

In Gardelegen tools up to 3 t can be worked on, in Doberschau tools up to 15 t.

Tool manufacturing in Gardelegen is specialized on immediate repairs, and on the care and servicing of tools during and after production.

At WEDO in Doberschau the focus is above all on new construction and on larger-scale repairs or tool modification. In Doberschau several EDM machines, milling machines and grinding machines are available. WEDO tool manufacture is a major success factor within the AKT Group on account of the sheer size of the machine park and the long-term know-how of the toolmakers.
