The location was established in 1991. Since then steady growth in turnover has been evident. The size of our workforce is also continuously on the increase. At present Gardelegen has more than 1,300 employees in the production and administration fields. This makes AKT the biggest employer in Gardelegen and the surrounding Altmark region.
We manufacture a broad range of products for the automobile industry: for the inner-car area, the engine area and the safety and security area. Fully certified in accordance with the German Institute for Standardization stipulation ISO TS 16949:2002, we are the suppliers for VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda, General Motors, DaimlerChrysler and BMW.
Our location in Gardelegen has its own development department with in-house prototyping and a tool repair shop.
We use numerous state-of-the-art production techniques – multi-component injection with injection moulding machines from 20 to 2.200 t, internal gas pressure technology and textile injection.
The synthetic material surfaces are given a paint-coat or flock finish. For these processes we have broad-band surface painting facilities, spindle painting machines, manual painting machines and flocking machines. In our joining technology zone, synthetic materials are foamed and flocked.
The success of the company is evident from our constantly growing turn-over figures. The Company remains set on a growth course.
